I have the cavern reel but this is the one I use on most of my dives. It is perfect size and has enough line for shallow and deep dives. Comes with a clip to stow on a d-ring, very dependable reel.

My son and I purchased this reel and find it to be very useful. The only downside is the latch sometimes releases accidentally and causes the line to tangle.

worked without an hitch, no "backlash", it is reasonably priced, but mostly plastic, works great for what I needed it for, if I was tech diving or cave diving might invest in a more expensive reel, however this one works just fine

Yes, this reel has a small spring on the thumb latch to ensure it closes when not being pressed.

The manufacturer does not produce a replacement piece for the part you use to wind the line back in.
